ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability Mirza Shahzad Akbar said Maryam Nawaz’ allegations are against the judge. He said Maryam pointed towards some institutions but forensic audit of video can only be done if court orders or a commission is formed.
Talking to Dunya News program Ikhtlafi Note, he said forensic audit under supervision of government would not be acceptable to opposition. He said PML-N has also made such statements earlier and this was just an addition.
He said question would raise now how PML-N worker Nasir Butt met judge Arshad Malik, adding that the same judge has acquitted Nawaz Sharif in a case. Shehzad said it seems during the discussion judge and Nasir Butt were not conscious. He said in order to bring all these things to light court must order a forensic audit.
He said it is feared that this video is edited; adding that we must confirm that judge in the video is Arshad Malik.
Responding to a question of acquittal, he said in that case all cases heard by Arshad Malik would be reviewed and that would create difficulties for many.
He said PML-N’s fate is linked with this video and they are making propaganda. He said they wanted to take full political advantage of this video. For more latest news Pakistan, visit 9newshd.tv
