Chinese Company Launches New Online Taxi Service in Pakistan

Just last week at a pre-launch event in Islamabad Timesaco, a Chinese company, revealed some interesting news. The company will soon be launching an online taxi service across 6 major cities of Pakistan; Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad, and Peshawar. With time they plan to further expand to 4 more.
The company introduced its instant services: taxi service “Buraq”, instant delivery “Fema” and City Freight “Cargo+” at the event.

Having seen vast potential in the Pakistani market the company seems to be devising a conclusive strategy plan in order to challenge major competitors such as Careem and Uber. They plan to launch five different services including taxi service, heavy cargo delivery, orders delivery, moving automated teller machines (ATM) and vehicle advertisement facilities.
As of now, Timesaco has designed 3 major applications:
- The Timesaco App for customers
- The Buraq App for drivers
- The BizTree app for partners
Company will be launching new and exciting services
Furthermore, they are introducing a groundbreaking concept within the Pakistani market by offering 97% of total earnings to the drivers. They are also offering 10% discounts on rides to weddings, conferences, exhibitions and matches; and a 10% discount for Army personnel, doctors, students, teachers, and senior citizens.
Users can also register multiple vehicles with Timesaco at one time. They can register bikes, cars, rickshaws, pickups, qingqi loaders and trucks to ensure multiple ways of earning. In a recent interview, Timesaco’s Chief Operating Officer Donald-Li proclaimed that,
“Timesaco is an ecosystem platform and its cares for customers, cares for drivers, cares for partners, cares for employees, and care for investors.”
He also said that innovative technology and creative E-commerce methods would be used to ensure quality service. It will be exciting to see just how well the concepts can be implemented in Pakistan and whether it’ll help drive more investment into the country.
