20 drown, five injured as passenger coach falls into Indus River

RAWALPINDI– At least 20 people were drowned while five sustained severe injuries as a passenger coach en route to Skardu from Rawalpindi fell into Indus River.

Receiving information about the mishap, police personnel and teams arrived at the scene and launched an operation to rescue the victims.

Eight bodies have been found by the rescuers during the operation while a search of the remaining 12 people is still underway.

The security officers told that the incident took place while taking a turn near Skardu.
