How Did the Image Go Viral?

The image was first widely shared on 29 May 2026 by a Facebook page named “قید میں بھی کپتان”. After that, several other accounts reposted the same picture on Facebook, X and TikTok.

One viral Facebook post received thousands of likes and hundreds of shares, while a post on X also gained significant views.

Why Is the Image Doubtful?

Imran Khan has remained out of public view while incarcerated. A review of the official social media accounts of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Imran Khan did not show this image being posted or verified by either account.
