Three kidnappers killed in a police encounter, the abducted child recovered

KARACHI – Police conducted an operation in Ittehad Town area of Karachi during which three kidnappers were killed in an encounter with police while the abducted child was safely recovered.

According to Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) officials, 10-year-ol Waqar was kidnapped from Metrowal Site area on June 29 in a while Hi-roof and a case of his abduction was registered at the Site A Police Station.

According to DIG CIA, the kidnappers were demanding Rs 10 million as ransom from heirs of abducted child. Police also informed that the family was receiving telephones calls for payment of ransom from an Afghanistan number.

Police and rescue teams shifted the dead bodies of kidnappers to hospital. Further investigation is ongoing.
