Rawalpindi’s ‘smart lockdown’ begins today

A ‘smart lockdown’ is being imposed in some areas of Rawalpindi as coronavirus cases across the country continue to increase.
Fifteen areas in Rawal Town and seven in Cantt are included in this lockdown, according to the Rawalpindi administration.

Dhok Kashmirian, Kari Road, Sadiqabad, Muslim Town and Tench Bhatta are also included.
Markets, hotels and offices in the areas will be closed during the lockdown.
The deputy commissioner said implementation of the lockdown begins today (Thursday).
