Toshakhana: Accountability court issues summon notice of Nawaz Sharif by advertisement

Islamabad: Accountability court has issued a summon notice by an advertisement of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over continuous absence in courts.
According to court, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif is evading court proceedings and court has started proceedings against declaring him as proclaimed offender.
The accountability court has given him last chance to appear and respond in Toshakhana reference till August 17.
On the other hand, the arrest warrant of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has been sent to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The arrest warrant has been issued against Rs. 50,000 indemnity bonds. The warrant states that if Asif Zardari does not appear, he should be arrest and be presented before the court.
In previous hearing, the court had issued bailable arrest warrant against Asif Ali Zardari in Toshakhana case.
According to details, court had issued bailable arrest warrant of Asif Zardari directing him to appear before the court in next hearing at any cost.
Zardari’s lawyer, Farooq H.Naek had given a statement in court that his plaintiff will appear before court in next hearing.
Moreover, the court has started proceedings against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for declaring him as proclaimed offender during the hearing of fake bank accounts reference.
The judge said that no implementation has been carried out on the non-bailable arrest warrant that was issued against the former premier.

“Nawaz Sharif is deliberately not taking part in court proceedings,” Judge Asghar Ali remarked.
Previously, the court had issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Nawaz Sharif over continuous absence in the case.
NAB prosecutor hasmaintained that Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif got vehicles from Yousaf Raza Gillani through illegal means.
The prosecutor told court that former president had only paid 15% cost of the cars by using his fake accounts, however, Libya and United Arab Emirates (UAE) also gifted him cars when he was serving as president.
NAB official further alleged that Asif Ali Zardari kept the cars for his personal use instead of submitting them to Toshakhana.
He added that PML-N supremo obtained the when he was not holding any public office without any application.
