Larkana health workers protest against lack of safety gear

Paramedical staff and doctors in Larkana boycotted their duties on Monday and staged a protest asking for safety gear.

The protest was organised by health workers associated with the Grand Health Alliance. They demanded that nurses should be regularised, they should be given risk allowances as well as protective gear. They claimed that the government has failed to provide with safety suits during the pandemic.

They said they will stage an even larger protest if the Sindh government fails to meet their demands in three days.

The OPD at Chandka Medical Hospital remained closed because of which many patients suffered.
